Over the worst of the winter we give our docents a break while we work behind the scenes in education, preservation and stewardship.

Public tours of the Shipyard and Exhibits will re-open May 2025.

Thank You for Helping Us Grow!

With your support and the help of so many others, we’ve experienced a remarkable 40% increase in visitors this year. Each new face connects with the craftsmanship and heritage that define an essential part of American history.

Our students are growing too—both in shipyard skills and as environmental stewards. They’re preserving our coastal ecosystems while building character and professional networks that will guide them into the future.

This region has always been where innovation meets tradition, creating a lasting legacy. Today, we continue to carry that legacy forward by expanding our programs, preserving history, and fostering stewardship. The progress we’ve made is only the beginning.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re launching exciting new programs, including a collaboration with local 5th graders to focus on teamwork and stewardship of our shared waterways. This year, we're aiming to exceed our annual fund goal to create a growth fund that will expand our capacity. With these resources, we’ll be able to hire additional staff to help enrich our exhibits and develop even more impactful educational programs.

By investing in us, you become part of a growing community dedicated to preserving this vital piece of American heritage. Together, we’re transforming EHSSM from its grassroots beginnings into a cultural force, building a future where history, community, and stewardship thrive. Your investment fuels this growth and ensures the legacy we share continues to inspire for generations to come.
